The mission of the Hokes Bluff Police Department is to serve and protect our community with integrity, professionalism, and respect. We are committed to upholding the law, preserving public safety, and fostering trust through transparency, accountability, and community partnerships. Through dedicated service and continual training, we strive to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all who live in, work in, and visit the City of Hokes Bluff.
Serving and Protecting
Hokes Bluff cooperates with the unified Etowah County 911 system for dispatch. The dedicated officers of the Hokes Bluff Police Department take a great deal of pride in the law enforcement services we provide to our community and its citizens. While the protection of human life and property is our highest priority, we are also committed to the preservation of the constitutional rights of every citizen and to the enforcement of the laws of the State of Alabama and of the United States of America.
With the cooperation and forethought of the Mayor and City Council, the Hokes Bluff Police Department now has advanced technology available in each patrol car. Each unit is now equipped with computers which allow officers to access State sponsored programs, such as E-Citation, E-Crash, Voyager (NCIC access), and ULTRA (Incident and Offense reports, Arrest reports, Supplements, and Ordinances).
Fire dept.
The mission of the Hokes Bluff Fire Department is to protect lives, property, and the environment through dedicated fire suppression, advanced life support emergency medical services, and community risk reduction. With pride, professionalism, and a strong spirit of volunteerism, our department serves with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to excellence-24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We strive to be a trusted presence in our small town, ready to respond when needed.
